I've been wearing this Readeel watch for a while now, so it's time for a review. I'll try to be as positive as I can considering that this is a really cheap watch.

To begin with, although I chose the blue-dialled version rather than the military green or black, it's still a bit of a strap monster with 22mm lugs.

The strap it comes with is okay, but it's a bit stiff to start with and looks like it won't last long once it does start to feel comfortable. It is nicely stitched though.

I've had to bend it about a lot and sleep in it to get it to be less "cardboardy", and it's just starting to get nice now after 4 days.

It has a magnificent laser-etched buckle.

But I don't think it's made of stainless steel since there's no "stainless steel" engraved on the underside.

The watch itself has a domed mineral crystal which is a bit reflective. I don't like domed crystals anyway. A flat mineral crystal would have made this more like the Timex Expedition or Seiko 5 it "homages", but it's mostly okay.

Nothing special on the back, but it's nicely done. It does indeed have a cheap Japanese Miyota movement inside, and of course, the seconds hand misses every mark by exactly the same amount.

The lume is really only on the hands. It doesn't last long. I think any lume on the numbers is in my imagination, and there's none on the chapter ring. It all lines up though, and the Sunday on the bi-lingual (Chinese and English) date disk is in red.

I tried wearing the Readeel on a navy blue nato for a while which matches the dial better than the RAF blue strap that came with it, but it's still not perfect.
Dimensions are 40mm diameter, 47mm lug to lug, and 10mm thick. Just a pretty average size really, nothing extraordinary here. The beadblasted effect on the plated zinc alloy case makes this watch look like titanium, but it's as light as a Casio already.

As a larger alternative to those tiny 35mm Lorus field watches which everyone went doolally over a couple of years ago, this is a really nice watch for those of us with average-sized wrists. A 20mm lug width would have been nicer than 22mm, but it's obviously not a problem.
At around £10 or less all the time on AliExpress, I also recommend this over the Infantry, AK Homme, and Soki lookalikes. In every case, you get exactly what you pay for, and this Readeel has all the good points of the Infantry and none of the bad points of the Soki. They all have the same claimed water resistance of 30 metres, which makes them theoretically as good for or as bad for daily use as a Hamilton quartz if field watches are your thing.
